Los Cabos Film Festival presents four outstanding Mexican productions in Cannes 2017

 

Los Cabos International Film Festival supports Mexican talent through its Industry allies and for the second time in a row, four Mexican films in progress were selected to take part in Los Cabos Goes to Cannes.
The alliance between Los Cabos Film Festival and the Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes aims to nurture and promote these films presenting them to potential partners such as producers, sales agents, film funds and festival programmers, among others. This platform gathers Mexican producers and International decision-makers at the 70th anniversary of the world’s most important film event.

The existence of a lonely figure in Mexico City slips uncontrollably into bodies every so often, allowing his soul to travel through the bodies of men and women. His state of boredom and hopelessness is confronted by his love for Luisa and his need to be with her. He struggles to communicate that love via different faces and bodies until he may be with her in spite of his state.

Being able to present and accompany the film —still in progress— to a festival such as Cannes is an excellent first step for Yesterday Wonder I Was.” — Gabriel Mariño.

 

At Los Cabos Goes to Cannes screening, a segment of each of the selected films will be shown and presented by producers Tatiana Graullera (Sex Panchitos Punk and The Second Coming), Nicolás Celis (My Brother) and Gabriela Gavica and director Gabriel Mariño (Yesterday Wonder I Was), followed by a question and answer session at the end of the programm.
