Every year, the festival pays tribute to outstanding members of the North American film scene. Actors, directors and screenwriters have received recognition for their trajectories throughout the festival’s four years.
This year the Festival will pay tribute to the iconic American scriptwriter and director Paul Schrader.
The reporter Raoul Duke has been assigned to cover a motorcycle race in the Nevada desert and he takes his lawyer, Dr. Gonzo, along for the ride. During this trip, in which the duo goes through a whole inventory of drugs, they will face imaginary monsters and very real ones: the news covering the horrors committed in Vietnam and the death of an entire generation sent to war.

What started as a simple complaint soon escalates into a violent, racially fueled fight.
