The Los Cabos International Film Festival presented by Cinemex announces its Official Selection line-up.

Competencia Los Cabos includes 9 features produced or co-produced in Mexico, Canada and/or the United States, gathering North America’s finest talent. These films have premiered in this year’s main international festivals. On the other hand, Mexico Primero is made up of 6 films that represent our rich national production. The films have mostly arisen from our Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund.

These films compete for the following awards:
Cinemex Award for Best Film in Competencia Los Cabos, worth MXN$200,000.
Cinemex Award for Best Film in Mexico Primero, worth MXN$200,000.
Cinemex Audience Award, that goes out to the most voted Mexican film out of both sections, worth MXN$200,000.
FIPRESCI Award for Best Mexican Film.
Labodigital Distribution Incentive, worth USD$15,000 in services.
Art Kingdom Showbiz Agency, worth USD$12,000 for the production of a film trailer for one film selected from México Primero.
